Genoveva “Veva” Hurtado, AuD Intern
Doctoral Student
Genoveva “Veva” Hurtado is completing her final year in the Doctorate of Audiology program with the University of Utah. She received her bachelor’s degree from New Mexico State University. Originally from a rural northeastern New Mexican town, Veva now counts Layton, Utah as her home. Her professional interests include balance and dizziness testing and treatment, tinnitus counseling, and hearing loss evaluation and management with the latest technology and communication strategy counseling. She believes that the best care stems from caring for each person holistically, getting to know their own unique story as part of knowing how to best work with them and help them. Outside of audiology, she enjoys taking road trips within Utah and going back home to New Mexico, spending time with family, crocheting, and watching Netflix.
In addition to the staff noted above, doctoral students from the University of Utah and Utah State University can often be found in clinic as Rocky Mountain Hearing and Balance is proud to serve as a clinical supervision offsite for these programs.
